The Water Environment Federation (WEF) this month posted the participants in its fifth annual stormwater video project. For 2016, the StormTV Project changed from a competition to an exhibition.

STVLogoThe project seeks to recognize and highlight the work of stormwater professionals. It collects and shares videos of innovative stormwater programs, practices, products, and public outreach as well as builds a library of videos to share.

This year 29 videos were submitted in the following categories:

  • Public Education — Short films and public service announcements to help educate the public. Examples include videos aimed at changing behaviors related to pet waste or littering.
  • Training — Videos aimed at training the public, municipal staff, or stormwater professionals. Examples include rain barrel installation videos or green infrastructure maintenance videos for city staff.
  • Commercial — These videos feature stormwater equipment, such as stormwater product implementation case studies or time-lapse installation videos.
  • Programs & Projects — These short documentaries show non- or for-profit programs and projects in action. Examples include green infrastructure workforce development programs, volunteer water quality monitoring programs, and low impact development projects

 All of the 2016 videos will be shown in the Stormwater Pavilion Theater at WEFTEC® 2016 in New Orleans.
