The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released a new report that summarizes the successes and lessons from its efforts to support green infrastructure technical assistance projects in communities nationwide. The report, Tools, Strategies and Lessons Learned from EPA Green Infrastructure Technical Assistance Projects, is intended as a resource for city managers, community leaders and citizens who want to learn from the experiences of others and who are looking to design their community space for better health, abundant water resources, and improved quality of life.

The report recaps key technical assistance information that has been provided to communities since 2012, matching problems with real-world, tested solutions and offering resources for further information.

According to the EPA, technical assistance is a key component of the agency’s investment for accelerating green infrastructure to become business-as-usual for stormwater management as well as infrastructure investments and community development.
