Later this month, Seth Brown, stormwater program and policy director with the Water Environment Federation (WEF), will give two presentations at the 2013 International Low Impact Development (LID) Symposium. Brown will address stormwater policy, economic incentives, and WEF’s Stormwater Testing and Evaluation for Products and Practices program, known as STEPP. He will also moderate a session with speakers from WEF’s upcoming Stormwater Congress, called the Best of WEFTEC 2013.
The LID Symposium will be held Aug. 18–21 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in Minnesota. Many states, universities and organizations, including WEF, are collaborating on the symposium, bringing together 290 presentations and over 1,000 professionals. Presentations will cover LID research, implementation, policy, financing, and education strategies. Check here for more information on the program.
Featured speakers include John Linc Stine, commissioner at Minnesota Pollution Control Agency; Avi Friedman, professor of architecture and director of the Affordable Homes Research Group at McGill University; and Seattle artist Buster Simpson.
