Raising the Bar: Green Stormwater Infrastructure Planning and Design Workshop is a two-day intensive workshop focused on the use of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) systems and practices to achieve stormwater management goals. The workshop will include an overview of why and how the stormwater management community is shifting to place more focus reducing the volume of runoff and utilizing small-scale GSI practices close to the source.  An in-depth discussion on GSI design principles and practices will be presented, as well as a hands-on design charette using real-world scenarios from Vermont.  The charette will provide participants direct experience applying GSI practices to sites where traditional approaches were employed and where GSI opportunities were overlooked.  Implementation strategies and challenges to adoption of GSI will also be shared.

Continuing education credits for both planners and landscape architects are anticipated.
