Across the United States, rivers and stormwater systems are being affected by a variety of natural (environmental) and man-made issues that federal, state, and local governments are trying to manage, despite declining public revenues and resources. The restoration of natural and man-made water systems and greenways is an imperative in which governmental officials of all levels, property owners, agribusinesses, and others have a practical and financial interest.
The Restoration of Our Rivers Conference will provide a national perspective on land conservation and best management practices that protect and improve water quality in urban and rural settings. On a regional scale, the conference will address conservation, water quality and watershed management issues that are specific to northwest Arkansas.
