The Water Environment Federation will host the National Water Policy Forum and Fly-In, April 7 through 9 in Washington, D.C., with the Water Environment Research Foundation and the National Association of Clean Water Agencies. The event will be part of World Water Week 2014, which also includes a Water Infrastructure & Innovation Expo hosted by congress on April 9. The expo will feature booths and displays by water sector associations, federal agencies, technology innovation organizations, and others.
These events will bring together water and wastewater professionals from across the country for two and a half days to meet with Members of Congress and federal regulators to share perspectives on federal clean water policy. The agenda will feature congressional speakers, policy briefings, visits to Capitol Hill, and roundtable dialogues with key policymakers.
In addition, the newly formed Congressional Clean Water Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives plans to hold a series of congressional briefings during Water Week 2014. The caucus is a bipartisan coalition co-chaired by Representatives John Duncan (R-Tenn.) and Timothy Bishop (D-N.Y.) that will spotlight efforts related to cutting-edge technologies and innovative techniques in the clean water sector.
