In early December, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced $400,000 in direct technical assistance for communities to implement green infrastructure for improving water quality and building more sustainable communities. The goal of this assistance is to provide communities with the tools, resources, and information to achieve green infrastructure goals and is part of the agency’s commitment to engaging with local communities.

Available in 2014, EPA anticipates providing 5 to 7 communities with approximately $60,000 in technical assistance via direct contractor support. Learn more from EPA’s request for letters of interest. Letters are due January 24, 2014.
