The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has launched a 2014 series of free webcasts related to green infrastructure. New webcasts will debut bimonthly, and old webcasts will be archived within a month. The series is geared toward public officials and communities just starting to implement green infrastructure. Speakers will include experts in stormwater management who will cover topics ranging from green infrastructure maintenance to financing.

The program began in January with a webcast titled “O&M and Green: Best Practices for Green Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance,” featuring Karen Sands, manager of sustainability at Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District and Bill Hunt, professor and extension specialist at North Carolina State University. On March 4, EPA will host a webcast on the timely topic of implementing green infrastructure under enforcement orders.
